I grabbed our dog when the car in front of me hit him. Quick trip to the vet to make sure no permanent damage was done, and he has been my faithful companion ever since.

We always figure six months back from the day they come home. That way we figure we’re never too far off.

I DID NOT want to see this subject touched today. Our local shelter is having low cost adoptions and my wife wants to add a 3rd canine to the family, with everyone working there would be no one to make sure my current 2 rescues get along with a 3rd…

One of our dogs the shelter didn’t have a birthday for so we made the day we adopted him his birthday. The second dog they did have one. Wish they would have asked about what they were eating so we can do a slow change over.

In our multi-rescue household, the day of adoption is called “Gotcha Day” and celebrated as a birthday.

If we don’t know a rescue’s birthday, we call it the “Gotcha Day” – the day we brought you home.

As luck would have it, our dog’s shelter “birthday” is two days from now.
