I agree…. Some goals may be better sought after sooner, maybe some later… – And in some parts of the world, their new year has already begun…. so one day can be just as good as any other…

I rather like the colors of the speech balloons reflecting the emotional content.Brad better be careful, though. He is not without his own weaknesses….

There are so many pancakes on that platter that Mark Trail will come over from his own strip for a visit.

The Number 1 resolution on my list is, “To quit making promises I can’t keep.”

…which pretty much made all the others a waste of time, so I didn’t bother

Funny thing is I once played this same trick on my sister – worked on her too.

There is a platter of pancakes and all 4 people have plates. The mom is just putting the platter in the middle of the table.

It’s easier to have resolutions to improve when you have flaws.-Oh, yeahBe more humble.

On the contrary, it is syrup. Use the “magnify” feature to see the strip enlarged.

How can you two argue when pancakes are in front of you waiting to be eaten?

It says “SYRUP”. Count the letters, if you can’t read them. There’s no enough room for the work “CATCHUP” (or “KETSUP”.) As the the shape of the bottle’s spout, syrup can come in bottles of pretty much any shape.

Also, it could be maple, or strawberry (MMM…[drool…]))….or some other “reddish/brownish” fruit type….

Some brands have funny shaped bottles (like Log Cabin), well, funny outside of Mrs. Butterworths….

Purple bowl on the left, all by it’s lonesome… – Or the bowl in the middle, with spoon in it… unless that’s powdered sugar… – I like apples or bananas on mine, and don’t always need the butter, myself… but I do like it on there, sometimes… amazing how that “pat o’ fat” makes it taste better…..

Don’t wait with resolutions until Jan. 1, the start of the secular new year – you’ll be in a bad mood by then. Start at Christmas, when you’re filled with the JOY of the Christian new year. AND… that joy may affect the type of resolutions you make!
