Translated this means:Wake Ed up at 5 and kick him out of the office for the Holiday and no one will be asked to work late cause I have somewhere to be.
I have a friend who works as a software manager at a big company. He worked his way up to management from starting as a level one programmer. Their hours are officially 8 to 5, but nobody leaves at 5, and everybody there knows better than to try it – it would be career suicide. Being paid salary for 40 hours and actually working 60 hours is the norm. So, this strip is spot on reality in the software industry.
I don’t know. I mixed bits and pieces of different schematics- and labeled it “Combination blu-ray popcorn popper.” I can’t guarantee it’ll work. But imagine the hi-definition snack if it does!

Sometimes her daughters come home. Her mother keeps sending the invitation, but Rita’s always “too busy.”
