Cubefarmer, please explain. Since the corporations, etc. set up their headquarters in the Caymans BEFORE that money was earned, how are they getting taxed more than once, if at all?
When I got married, a couple with 40 hr a week minimum wage jobs could rent a small apartment and drive and maintain 2 used cars (1974). Today, a couple would have to work the equivalent of 3.5 jobs to even think about that(in SoCal). Believe me, the neighborhood would be so bad, that your old car would not be cafe.
That is not progress, it is greed of the business owners. As long as the illegal aliens are here, it will stay the same. Just the threat of them getting hired in your place, keeps you from asking for a raise. They work overtime when asked, for straight time pay. They do work hard, but they still do not belong here. A student hasn’t a chance of a part time job without pull.
