My, we all have opinions, don’t we? We feel smug about putting someone down, even when we couldn’t have done any better. As a professional musician and “Sound of Music” afficionado, I thought it was very nicely done. I give Carrie kudos for attempting live television and for recreating a classic musical. Suspend harsh judgement for a bit and enjoy it for what it is: entertainment. I doubt that even she expected to outdo Mary Martin or Julie Andrews. There is no need to be mean.
I couldn’t understand why it was on a Thursday and didn’t start earlier because many kids (and this adult) don’t stay up until 11 pm. Personally, I did not like costume choices for Carrie Underwood. I would have liked to see it later in the "holiday season), when kids didn’t have to worry about school the next day. It could have been a real family event.

At least 3 different websites are devoted to this artist. His Wikipedia page and collection (much more under Content and Subcategories at each level).Third, of the 4 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

Personally I wasn’t even that impressed with her singing. Her acting was terrible.
