I gave my dog a marrow bone I got from the grocery store. It got stuck between her lower teeth and her jaw. It was like a bone donut hanging off her mouth. We spent Christmas day at the vet with her sedated while they had to saw it off her lower teeth. No more bones with round holes for her. :(

Thank you T_Lexi and Perkycat. She’s fine. She was a little wobbly from the anesthesia but ok otherwise. She was really really mellow about it. Occasionally she’d paw at it but mostly she just licked it because it wouldn’t go away :( Her teeth are fine but my wallet is thinner. And….I made sure I thanked the people at the veterinary for being there on Christmas day!
