It’s no wonder adults will be so grabby from time to time, Beni. That hammer is almost as big as you are, and that bodes no good. One day, Alice may learn, when she has to protect treasures of her own.

When one of my sons was five we gave him a dollar to buy whatever he wanted. He came out with a huge rat trap!!! That was 45 years ago, now we would never let a grandchild go in a store alone. Times have certainly changed.

Part of my widower fantasy is to offer family heirlooms, other than those I particularly like, to the rest of the family, and once everything wanted has been claimed start an Art, Books, and Curios shop to literally “sell all I have and give to the poor.” Local theater groups would be welcome to borrow things as props.
