I don’t remember much (I was 3 yrs old) about the orphanage except that I was lonely all the time and had very harsh “keepers”. I love your cartoon cuz Rex got out just like I did. Thanks!
I adopted to kitties one fro vet other from my yard most loveable kitties however lose one to cancer the other one on my lap sound asleep in a ball of love
What a great example Santa is setting for us all! Let’s head on down to the local shelter and give a pet a warm and loving home. All our pets are rescues and they are the best!
Reminds me of the first time I saw our little Ty. A little mostly-white border collie who’d been turned into a kill shelter because she didn’t herd. I walked past her concrete pen; she didn’t lift her head, just raised her eyes as if to say, “What are you looking at?” The most dejected little mutt you ever saw. She came home with us and her future best friend Torran the LabxBC mix that day and ruled our house and her canine companions as its tough little princess/mother dog for thirteen short years. What a character she was! Miss her every day.
I hope people will remember that animal shelters can use so many things, And I bet the people who try to Not love all of them because the end will not be good for them.

Alas, Santa can’t adopt them all. We need to go down to the local shelter and adopt a pet before they are “put to sleep”.

What a wonderful strip this is. Not just love for animals, but a bit of “animal rights” done in a gentle way.

Just don’t give pets on Christmas. Wait a few days when the pet can be noticed and not scared by all the kids’ rumpus.
