When Scrabble was first released, they had an ad with some sample questions; one of which was "how many grooves are on a standard 45 rpm record. Shortly after, I met a S&R representatives at a trade show and mentioned the ad. He said, “there is only one, it is a continuous spiral.” I shook my head, curved my index finger, rotated my wrist to point it alternately up and down. “The last one-side record was a 1924 quarter inch thick Brunswick shellac, but it was 78 rpm.” The man literally paled to the point I was concerned about his health. The next ad did not have that question.
Unless they’ve put the Everly brothers and Roy Orbison on CD, I don’t see much point in figuring out how to use them. Every time I figured out how to use the “new” thing, it became the old thing that week. I’m sticking with my records. They are all I will ever need.

I think some people would say you’re a plugger if you still have CDs.

FWIW 8 tracks were a home version of audio cartridges used in broadcast.

You’re a Plugger If you’ve hated all music made in the last 30 years, apparently. That’s how long CDs have been around.

Or if you try to rewind the dvd when you’re done watching it.
