Ah. This is the sequence that ends with Charlie Brown pulling out a big gun to use on his sister. (That’s a metaphor.)

Sally’s been watching “My Fair Lady”, where Eliza’s father gives a great speech about “middle class morality”.

That’s so 60’s.

Kept running across this when I was teaching… siblings who could not be more different in every way.

Why MIDDLE CLASS MORALITY? Today it is MIDDLE SCHOOL MORALITY.

According to an answer from Yahoo Answers about middle class morality, a line from “Pygmalion” goes something on the order of, “I am poor. I can’t afford morals.” Presumably, since Charlie Brown and Sally are brother and sister, they would have the same economic standing. So, if Charlie Brown can afford morals, Sally should certainly be able to. Maybe Sally is just one of those people who can’t admit to fallibility.

why’d Sally tell the teacher she didn’t take the crayon when she did????!!!!!!!!!!!
