Alice: At school today, Miss Bliss blew up some balloons and we learned about tactic elastricity. Mom: you did? Alice: We rubbed the balloons and stuck them all over Dill. He looked like a bunch of grapes. Alice: If they'd been helium balloons, Dill would be halfway to the moon by now! Mom: Say "static elastricity" again.

Remember doing this, and how much fun it was, and how your hair stood up?

Alice is wonderful, and Mrs. Otterloop knows it. But it wasn’t really very nice of Alice and Nara (and whoever else) to laugh at poor Dill, that bunch of grapes!

When I was growing up our neighbors nada small boy who would pronounce octopus as oggeepus. He got so angry at having to repeat it after countless requests that he would shout out…OGGEEPUS!

One of my kitties must generate static electricity – every time I reach out to pet her, sparks fly! Sometimes we both jump when I touch her. She has gotten used to it and still wants to be petted. She is the only one of my cats that it happens with.

I love little ones pronunciation of words. Elastricity is great! Had a friend who would say ‘risky’ instead of risque. My husband says ‘Marmalduke’ instead of Marmaduke. I never try to correct them. Too cute.
