Note:In a few instances characters in same strip were not counted as “together”, for example, if one frame showed only Phil and Fritzi, and the next showed only Nancy and Sluggo, it would count as one together appearance for each pair, but not a “Nancy/Fritzi” tally.
Solo appearances by above characters:(solo in this case means character without any other main people characters in same strip)Nancy had a solo strip 22 timesSluggo had a solo strip 5 timesFritzi had 7 solo appearancesPhil had 2 solo appearancesOona had 1 solo appearance2 strips had no main people characters
Longest stretch with no Nancy in “Nancy”:6 days, from October 7th.
Seems like lately the strip has seemed more in the old tradition. After being directed to a site by one commenter I saw an old strip that went like this: Nancy has a big box of sweetened dates, which she shares with a number of boys. She promises them more, but says they will each have to ask nicely for additional fruit, for one piece at a time. She then takes off down the street where she passes Sluggo who is talking to another girl and as she does the boys keep saying to her, if they can please have a date. The only strange thing is that while the girl Sluggo is with is certainly about his age, she has the face of a 25 year old.
