It must be one of those “participant” awards I’ve heard about so much lately.

Russell is kidding himself, and it looks like he has a dandy case of dandruff as well.

Hey, maybe it’s not about looks… (I don’t see how it could be about looks.)

Maybe he’s just honoring his body’s good behavior…..after all….it hasn’t fallen, burped, bumped into a table…itched, gotten broken…ached, released any noxious fumes… …or propelled him unwillingly from a window.

At least…. not so far today, anyway.

Tomorrow’s award, is, of course, still uncertain.

Say, Fenton…. it’s pretty early but I think I’ll clean the big grinder…The back bar ones should be enough to handle the daiquiris for a Monday night crowd…especially in this weather.

Though I have to say it’s very cozy in here…

and warm enough even outside, on the patio, what with that Hawaiian volcano 2Old brought us.

A good night for some yak stew…. and a Scotch.

That is a scary sight first thing in the morning before a coffee!!!

Every time I get out of bed in the morning, I congratulate my body on having made it to another day. Fortunately, mirrors are scarce.The first thing I do is grab the newspaper and check out the Police Report and the Irish Sports Page ( the obits ) and if my name isn’t in either one of them, then I know the day is starting off well !

To All My Friends and Neighbors on Ballard StreetFirst, I want to let you all know that I’m back aboard my galleon, The Irish Rover, and navigating the cosmic and comic seas between my cozy casa, in Ecuador, and my not- so-humble home, on Ballard Street.Secondly, I sincerely want to thank all of you for your love and support during a truly difficult time. Words cannot express how important your friendship and prayers were. I will get around to thanking you personally, ( you all know who you are ), sometime this week but I want to give you all a twenty gun salute,Ballardeers, you are the best !!
