This is the strip I watched Greg draw from scratch a couple months ago, when he talked to me in person. I thought it was hilarious then… and still is.

Tell us the day you saw Mr. Evans do this. That could give us a clue as to the time line from his writing the strip to us reading it^^I dunno, I did mention it that night, but, when it was exactly, I can’t recall.

I think that’s the most surreal Luann comic I’ve ever seen! :D

I had no idea the body issues girls had until my daughter’s High School years. No matter what my wife and i told them, they KNEW they were ugly, fat, clothes out of fashion.. every Friday (social night) was the end of their lives as we know it!!

Then, suddenly, as they hit college, it was ok. No problems at all. It took me about a month before wife told me what happened.

A good, balanced boyfriend.

I laughed out loud! It is not often that a comic strip does that for me! Even the snarky comment that Bernice made was funny and true!

Luann ends up looking like a pice of ancient Egyptian sculptural art. Having her quiet for an indefinite period ought to give Bernice some serene “alone” time….

I wish girls and women wouldn’t be like this. A lot of times they’re much more attractive than they think they are, Luann included.

How about that line from “Just a Gigolo” —“I ain’t got no body…”^We can just add it to the song list I started up above…. there’s the Irving Berlin adaptation, also the David Lee Roth cover….

As usual, you are mistaken.Bernice and Luann love each other with a love which transcends the ability of words to express.

When you find yourself monopolizing a conversation, you should cut it out.

I checked it out, and it was like you said, and for mine, it did it with the game at top, vid at the bottom.. As I was playing, it became unfair, as rain, ice and snow also joined in, as it is travelling past our area right now, and from there, became an onslaught, so…. (Lol!) -

I also tried the “beam me up scotty” “egg” and the effect is still there and it did show each result using the “transporter effects” from the current “star trek-like” movie series. The effects wee pretty good, and it livens up the screen……

I thought Photoshop was used to either trim things (sometimes too obviously), or replace things with better ones. I haven’t used it, but I doubt those who do just “erase” things. Would miss the point of improving them.

I know that I made a snarky comment about Luann earlier, but taking another look at this strip, I see what’s going on here. As Luann’s wishing away her “horrible” appearance, parts of her are disappearing. Of course, she’s basically wishing herself away, and that’s when it hit me—as we women and girls diet, Botox, and cut ourselves to the nth degree, parts of us are disappearing and like Luann, there will be nothing left of us if we continue this way. That’s the joke in today’s strip, except that the joke, sadly, is on us.

photoshop is a lot cheaper than women’s beauty products and wardrobe and surgeries.

You don’t know what Bernice does all the time.You assume the worst, of course, because that is just what you do.

I could explain it to you again and probably will the idea of comic strips and comedy and straight lines and teen angst. It will fall on frozen mind-set but that is okay.Just not tonight a little more blindness to the self blinded.
