This actually reminds me of what it is like to be in the work world these days; someone yelling at you to do an impossible task and yet they won’t help and then complain that you aren’t making them rich fast enough….
In the real world, there were weapons like this: too big to work.
One of the better examples was the Paris Gun used by the Germans in WWI. True, they could fire on Paris: about two or three shells a day. It took a crew of 800 men under the command of a Major General to operate the gun. They all would have been better off used elsewhere.
In the next war to end all wars, Hitler ordered a tank so large, no bridge in Europe could support it. It was never built. The Germans had some of the best weaponry in the war, but a lot of it was too complicated to build, operate and maintain so they never had enough numbers to influence the war.

They don’t have the balls to fire that, do they?

That’s exactly why they lost the battle at Bunker Hill. Brought the wrong cannonballs. (Actually, one of many comedy of errors.)

Either swords or big balls up their breech block…….. swords easy with bigger balls more gun grease is needed.
