a new twist on fly fishing

I’ve caught seagulls this way (not intentional), but never ducks.

Hope it’s a catch and release.

Me too, but I can’t remember how I got it off the hook. I was casting with a Flatfish for Smallmouth bass. ( Conesus lake, upstate N.Y.)
