I’m thinking they’re out of character. Paige would have been at his throat shortly after the confrontation with Randi.But, it’s just a comic.

It is strange that she would rather be mad at her mom than at her brother. Then again, tensions with parents are more common in teen years than earlier, and her brother has annoyed her almost every day of his life.
