Reminds me of a small episode years ago on election day. At the poll there was an elderly gent warming a lawn chair while napping. He had a patch over one eye and his ID tag proclaimed that he was a “Poll Judge.” I was amused. Later, I related the event to a good friend over a beer. Without skipping a beat, he replied, “He had the patch over his good eye.”
There is an old science fiction story by Isaac Asimov called Franchise where Multivac, the overarching all powerful computer, determines which person in the United States best represents the average American. That person then chooses the president.
