Anyone see the ad where the Dad closes up the house after the irresponsible kids? I can understand being able to turn the electronics off but how does it cut the water off?
Turn on the crock pot..remotely? The work is getting the stuff in the pot. Since it is made to cook for 8, 10 or even 12 hours, when is she planning on serving dinner? Maybe she is cooking breakfast.
You don’t need an Internet connection for a slow cooker. Either turn it on before you go, or if you don’t want it on that long, use an appliance timer to make it start at the right time. Now, using this to pre-heat the oven when you’re on the way home makes much more sense, but this is Alex we’re talking about.
