Planes don’t travel at “MPH” … they prefer nautical miles…or knots.

How many flights leaving Idaho for an overseas flight- it’s less than 3300 miles from Boise to any border- would have enough passengers that there would be anyone sitting next to him? My guess would be zero.

On the trip to the far east on a troop ship in 1952 we were given the distance made each day in “miles”. nautical or statute was not specified. I don’t think anyone really cared.
