I REALLY need to start nailing down those blankets……again. Been prepping the TANK for tomorrow’s
GRITSwinter storm road trip. Tires, check. Chains, 2 pair, check. Max Forest Tool (http://forresttoolco.com/), check. Hi Lift jack & accessories, check. Tons of rope and recovery straps, check. Winch, check. Electric sleeping bag, check. Winter survival pack with fire starters and extra warm clothes, check.
This is why I don’t like living in cities. It was a sleep in day for me today, but really early in the morning someone outside my window was scraping her car off for what seemed like hours. Then people down the road are getting their roof redone. No chance for peace and quiet out here.
Shka, yes, at least my son won’t set “booby traps” in the snow, like some folks I know would. (I won’t mention any names, you know, like cleo, johnnydoc or Duke. Maybe I should include Akenta in that too, do you think? She’s gettin sneaky too, “duct tape”? You and I will have to keep our eyes open! LOL!)*
This morning I got a call from someone saying that they were from Microsoft and that my computer keeps sending an error report. She was going to tell me ON THE PHONE how to fix it. Sheesh, what do these scammers take us for? All I had to do was turn on the computer and she would guide me through it. I said no thanks. Click. I wish I had said more, but I wasn’t fully awake.
As usual, it was the idiots that made life interesting. People with no snow tires, studs, chains or 4WD/AWD and no snow driving skills who just HAD to be on the road. Wrecks everywhere, one fatal up by Ridgefield, WA which was south of where I was and was royally messing up traffic on I-5 which meant I was on the mostly unplowed backroads. Fallen trees across the road were cut up by chain saws and I dragged them off the road using the winch rigged around a tree off the road using a tree guard to protect the trunk. Needless to say, my trip time was multiplied many times over.

The scenery in that picture is actually pretty accurate! But my TANK is newer and black!

G’nite, Shika. Here’s a pile of blankets. Do NOT make me get out the duct tape! (Thanks for the suggestion, Akenta!)
