The adult human brain shrinks by 5% per decade over the age of 40. Fish scales were used to give a pearly sheen to gloss lipsticks in the 1960s. Philip Romano of Ammonk, NY, has a tongue measuring 3.8 inches!
Brain shrinkage completely depends on how you use it (or don’t). My Dad had a CAT scan at 85 that showed his brain hadn’t shrunk at all, full right out to the skull. Doctor was very surprised. Dad read every day, stayed interested in puzzles and games. He went out by himself at 75 and bought a computer and learned how to use it.
No…what you’re hearing are the random thoughts that are trying to fill up the empty spaces. Get used to it - it’s only going to get worse. What I find more annoying are the echoes that keep endlessly repeating. We are all destined to have a second childhood - if we live long enough.
What mystifies me is how I make the ‘strike through thingie’ happen. For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to do it when I want to, and how it pops up on its own when i don’t particularly want it to.If anyone has the answer to this problem, please don’t put it in today’s comments - I never go back to read them again. Put it in tomorrow’s posts - if I’m still alive, I’ll read it tomorrow.

I thought they still used fish scales in pearlescent lipstick and nail polish.Maybe Mr Romano is Gene Simmons’ love child.

My brain is now 20% smaller. Does that mean I’m 20% dumber, or is all that brainpower just crammed into a smaller space?

I doubt that 3 1/2" is that unusual for a tongue length. Mine is that long too. I can touch the tip of my nose with it.
