Hopefully Kathy can rein him in before he knocks down a load-bearing wall and the house falls in. âŠIf I had that screen in my living room, Iâd be scared to turn it on. The faces on the screen would be giants. And, while small spiders donât bother me (I can squish âem without flinching), giant-size spiders â on the NatGeo channel, etc. â the size of a Volkswagon Beetle would definitely creep me out.
I donât think Iâd ever want a television that large. Not unless Iâm watching one from the other side of a room. Weird Al did such a song about large screens. Frankâs 2000" TV. Has Kathy been working out without Royâs knowledge?
@NightGaunt49⊠I donât squish them unless they are in my immediate space and wonât go away. I donât usually kill any bugs, etc. unless they wonât leave my personal space. Iâve been known the scoop them up on a dustpan and put them outside. Bugs do have a place in the world. Just not on my desk.
I sometimes watch the 32"screen I have in this room all the way from kitchen counter (when Iâm doing prep up there). Got to be around 30â away so I could never read any text. Now if I put on my new driving glasses, I can. I donât wear them thoâ because for cooking it would mess me up.

You need to tell Roy that that picture is gonna give you nightmares for the rest of the year.

Why would anyone want such a large TV, particularly since most TV programmes are utter c%âŹ*?

Thatâs not a livinâ room, itâs the bridge of the âEnterpriseâ

Better to build a new TV room, with a large walk in fridge and brand new furniture and 5 remotes, in case one of them gets lost.

And what happens to your suddenly clunky and unfashionable 60-inch TV, Roy?

Makes sense to me. I like Royâs thinking

100 inches is a mere 8 1/3 feet (diagonal). It would fit, though you might not be able to stand watching it.

Kathyâs comment: âWe canât afford itâ isnât engaging any of Royâs brain cells which are still in âI wantâ modeâŠ.;)
