JPuzzleWhiz: Real nachos are small round tortillas, sliced real cheese (aged chedar or Monterrey jack), and an X of jalapeño strips, toasted and require preparation. Corn chips with melted Velveeta poured over are not nachos, nor are chemically flavored corn chips from a bag. .Neither is a flour tortilla with Monterrey jack (instead of bread and cheddar) a quesadilla, it is still a grilled cheese sandwich. The real thing uses corn tortilla, quesa blanco, minced onion and jalapeño, folded over and pan fried like a taco.
Shades of helping with cleanup at Coffee Hour yesterday. The hosts only had to lift the plate, not the two pastries and the cream puff (all minis, BTW) on it.
