Thank you so much, Susan, for mentioning the Beatles tribute that I posted last night. Funny how I remember ever so clearly, Susan (…ahem…) when the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and YOU DO NOT!!! Don’t you think that’s odd, Susan?? hmmmmm? (LOL)
Anyway, I’m posting it smaller than yesterday, but I’m also including a link to a larger version.
I have MOST problem with his socks. I know that fashion dictates that I not even wear stockings with open-toed shoes, but my feet do not tolerate the feel of the shoes (especially in cold weather) so sheer stockings are preferred. Other than that, his outfit is passible (I’ve seen worse). And the role playing in this film is To prove a point.
We didn’t even have a radio in the house 1959 to?(a few years) so I missed most of the interest in the Beatles. I DO love some of their songs, but have no emotional connection to any (as emotion was not really part of my life then).
Although I’ve always “liked” and appreciated teh Beatles, and yes, like SuSun, ah member watchin on ES…. Ahm more of a “Stones” fan, its theyre blues roots…. “Hip Shake Baby!!!”
Your tribute pic made me search through my boxes of old photos….
and I found it!
OMG, how did you get the guys to pose exactly like that old photo from their trip to London??They must have brought you a copy….you’re much too young to have one from then….
But they did send one to me…. and they’ve hardly changed a bit!
Well… a bit…. or maybe a little more…. but well…. he hair and all…..but still…..

I was trying to figure out what made it the turning point…
but I see he’s let his hair go gray.
I mean, we’ve been telling him forever he needs stockings and dressier shoes…. and I’m pretty sure he wore that same dress just last Thursday.
But today he’s decided to fight age discrimination in the workplace!Yay for Tony!

Meanwhile, StelBel did a fabulous Beatle’s tribute a few hours before the turn on yesterday’s (Sat/Sun) strip.
It’s in honor of the 50th anniversary of their groundbreaking first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.
(which of course I wouldn’t remember anything about…. cough…. honest…. )
She’ll probably come along later this morning and re-post it on today’s…But I suggest flipping back and taking a look now.
Great job, Stel!

They’re both in respectable Ballard County polka dot style…. but I do think today’s dress is better suited to the office than this one….
Hmmm…. I wonder which one Rosalind likes better on him.

He’s part of the “Real Men Can Wear Polka Dots” (or REMECAWEPODO) movement. Their anthem is “I Feel Pretty”.

He’s safe now from being fired, since he can now sue for discrimination.
