(At the risk of dating myself): “Tiptoe through the tulips with meeee….”I saw Tiny Tim on the Paul O’Grady show last year. He’s still chirping the same little tunes, and still looks the same as he did in the 60s. At that time my mum swore he was on drugs and that was why he was so thin and pale. Evidently not. (personally I always thought he was Undead.)
Click-to-enlarge image can be found here (very complete Wikimedia entry; probably could quit with that). Smaller enlargement at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry. The Tulip Folly is shown, click-to-humongous image compliments of its Google Cultural Institute page, and described, by its current-location page.Like The Grand Tour in London in 2007, mentioned here earlier, the current-location put this work, and others, on public display (click image there for enlargement)in 2012. But unlike, as far as I know, using actual paintings in London, reproductions were used in Baltimore (maybe says something about trusting the public in each city).A different coloration image can be found here. The artist/teacher’s Wikipedia page (Google translated French Wikipedia page has more) and collection (many more under Subcategories at each level).Eighth, of the 13 works (14 times, so proud of one pseudo-title, he used it again), by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.
