Be sure to wear green on St. Patrick's Day if you don't want to get pinched. Why would someone pinch me? Because you're not wearing green! Why does not wearing green mean I should be pinched? There is a legend that wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns who like to pinch people. You wear green to remind everyone of this. So I'm being forced to participate in some annoying annual ritual lest I get punished by those who enjoy inflicting pain on others? I suppose you'll tell me that I'll understand when I'm older. Yes. When you're old enough to file a tax return.
