Judge, I was following orders.

I’ve always wondered about those “Shirt and Shoes Required” signs. Means everything else is optional, right?

Well, the kid does have a point. I’ve seen barefoot kids including teens, in fast food joints. The worst was a family in a Denny’s; all shoeless. No socks, either, for the pedantic among you.

“Oh, they don’t wear pants on the other side of France.”

A friend of mine ignored a “No shorts” sign at a Chinese restaurant and walked right in on a slow Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Guess what? We got served because they needed the business and the place was otherwise empty.

Better make that a “short” order restaurant Calvin.

They mean if you don’t where any shoes or shirts then no service.

feet that are enclosed in socks and shoes all of the time are the feet that stink. wear sandals and wash your feet when you shower, they will be cleaner, smell better and the skin is healthier.

Just say your gay and they will have to serve you regardless of what you are wearing.

I had a buddy who walked into a fast food place with just shorts and a baseball cap on. The counter lady pointed to the sign and told him head to have shirt and shoes, where with he pulled a shirt and a pair of shoes out of a bag he was carrying and put them on the counter. “There”. They had a brief exchange about whether he had to be wearing them until he convinced her he was right. He was served. Later on the manager of the place came by the table and said, “Buddy, please don’t try this again. You’ll have the health department shutting me down.”

Get ready for the yelling…

Am I the only one who sees a “We reserve the right to refuse service” sign and thinks “We reserve the right to serve refuse?”

She’d have to be nuts to take you ANYWHERE, Cal baby!

Odd that restaurants can deny you food, apartments can deny you shelter, but things we don’t consider rights at all are foisted on us every day.

You gotta admire that Calvin is unconstrained by the “rules” of society in regards to clothing. You could be today he’d be running around with saggy pants.

I love how his first reaction is to start undressing.
