I remember a similar Sunday “Garfield” where not only a boy mistook Garfield as a pig, but Jon in an outrageous outfit as a clown as well. Boy’s mother told him that’s not what they are, boy cries, woman asks Jon poor seltzer in his pants and Garfield asks boy if he’s ever been bitten by a pig.
When my family lived in Spain, we would go to the local food markets. One day one of the stalls had a roasted piglet displayed. My brother and I were 4 and 5, respectively, so we were told by our parents that the “baby pig was sleeping.” We didn’t find out the truth until years later.
