On the other hand, if they spoil or get buggy ere you finish them, you have to consider the entire cost divided by what little you actually ate and see if it was economically viable..My brother and I were going to Auburn together and went on one of our first grocery shopping trips. We noticed a two pound bag of rice was cheaper per pound then a one pound bag and a five pound bag was cheaper per pound than a two pound bag and on out to 25 pounds or more. .I forget which monster bag we bought but after a meal or two he asked to borrow my slide rule, did some figuring and announced we were going to have to eat rice for every meal from then to graduation to eat it all up..After a week, we gave up and only ate rice every other meal, leaving five or ten pounds uneaten three years later. We still like rice so no harm done.

There’s a reason why they’re so “dirt” cheap….

If, after ten years, you find you don’t like them, just throw the other half of the box away.

If it’s Squelchy Crispies, I’m guessing it doesn’t hold up very well in milk.

I shop costco and every once in a while I over buy but I buy some beautiful flowers they have and my wife overlooks the huge bottle of ketchup etc.
