The Born Loser by Art & Chip Sansom Gladys: Yoo-hoo, Brutus! Gladys: Look at how they've downsized my favorite candy bar! Brutus: Gee, didn't they already downsize it once just a couple years ago? Gladys: Yes, it's become inevitable - the manufacturers know they can't raise prices too much or people won't buy the products... Gladys: So the products just keep getting smaller and smaller! Gladys: But do you know what the worst part is? No matter how much they reduce the size of my candy bar... Gladys: The calories somehow remain the same!

We need to stop downsizing our product . Give me a full pound, a full half gallon of ice cream, and raise the price. All they are doing is making you buy 2 instead of one.Oil in Canada has all ways been in liters. but it was still a quart in US measurements.

Wow, what color is the sky on your planet?aHaving to use metric at a couple past jobs, I find understanding metric to be a great deal easier than understanding “English” measure. What is wrong with using a universally recognized and utilized system to match the rest of the world?

The foolish error in Ashburn’s first post is the notion that we need a law mandating specific sizes for products. The ministry of silly quantities, if you will. Practically every law regulating commerce is totally unnecessary. One law punishing severely (not “preventing”) fraud, and a second law punishing severely (not “preventing”) collusion. Otherwise grant all the freedom to purchase/sell, or not.
