Language should be more useful. For instance? Instead of attic, it should be called watchyourhead and crosswalks should be called crazydriverscantbetruasted. Uh-huh. So instead of English, the language would now be called...? Toldyouso.
Kinda like German – combine words or parts of to make a meaning. Toby is really on to the big problem with language, the meaning of words is different to all of us.
Invincible means cannot be defeated.Indestructible means it cannot be destroyed.Intolerable means it cannot be tolerated.So how come inflammable means it will be like hell?
From the driver’s point of view, I am a crazy pedestrian who can’t be trusted. I always wave drivers on, not wanting to get run over out of frustration, but I live in the midwest, where people are still occasionally overly polite, which causes me not to be. I have actually gotten in so far deep into a silent battle of “right of way” with a driver that I flipped him off for not going first. There’s something not quite right about that.
