Mom: Petey, look how fast your'e growing! You're going to be all arms and legs! Petey: Ha ha! Alice: How soon? Mom: How soon what? Petey: Make Alice quit staring at me.
I ended my freshman year in HS at 5’8", started my sophomore year at 6’2" (6" in 3 months), ended HS at 6’5", and ended college at 6’6". It doesn’t always happen at a young age. David Robinson was 5’9" as a HS junior, 6’6" as a senior, continued to grow at the Naval Academy, and played at 7’1" in the NBA. What’s kind of remarkable is he never played organized basketball before his HS senior year.
When my little Aspie grandson was around 18 mos. or 2, he was bothered a lot by his shirt lapel. So I took it off and showed it to him. Since he did like for things to be in the right place, he reached behind himself and tried to put it back on. Incidentally, I think that Petey is wearing his shirt correctly, but the lapel is poking out the top. Also, when I entered junior high in the seventh grade, I was the next-to-shortest kid in my class. By the time I graduated from the ninth grade, I was about the same height I am now – I’d grown 12". My eyeballs also became elongated, and I became quite near-sighted. Alice would have had fun trying to imagine that.

I seem to remember my son’s jeans were always short, I think I bought him the next size every other month. And my grocery bill……!
