Ripley's Believe It or Not! The color orange is named after the fruit, and not the other way around. It was first used in English in the 16th century -- previously the color was known as yellow-red. Tim Flock drove in 8 Nascar races in 1953, with a rhesus monkey, "Jocko Flocko," as co-driver. In 1932, Bolivia fought a war with Paraguay after both countries issues postage stamps that laid claim to disputed territory.

The war was really over oil rights, with different US oil companies supporting each country. Check out the Chaco War on Wikipedia.

There is no word in the English language that perfectly rhymes with orange.

There is one English word that rhymes with “orange”, “sporange”, a technical term in botany. In a pinch, you can also use “door hinge”.
The color was also previously known as “tawny”, or, in heraldry, “tenné”.
