Good Morning, Vagabonds, and sorry I haven’t kept up with visiting the Village.

We got in late last night. What a trip! The wedding was AWESOME!!!! Our daughter was gorgeous, her groom was handsome, and everyone had a grand time! I never danced so much in my life!!!! It was extra fun, because our whole family was there, and 8 of our daughter’s childhood friends were also there! Some we haven’t seen for 13 years! From seeing them almost daily as they grew up together, it’s been a long time. But, they did grow up, and were beautiful too!

I think I’ll need a week to get caught up on things! The long drive home was very relaxing. Especially once we got north of Barstow, and the traffic settled down. That’s one thing that we’re not used to…………those speeders and the ones that cut you off to get in your lane. Ahhhhhh….Montana!!!! Peace and quiet!!!!

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, I found the stretch between Barstow and State Line to be a two-lane nightmare. I grew up with the CA freeways, so I don’t mind the freeway traffic, but once you lose the third lane people go nuts. Either they are constantly cutting in and out trying to get “in front” or they slow down in the fast lane as they crawl past a slow-moving semi, thus effectively stopping the flow of traffic behind them. And it was much worse on Fridays because that’s when everyone leaves So CA to visit here. If I didn’t leave by 1PM, I would spend an average of 2 extra hours on the road. I drove that about twice a month for more than 6 months, and I am very glad I don’t have to do so any more.

Temp is moving back up to mid- to high 80’s again. We expect it to be close to 90 on Easter Sunday. At least the nights are relatively decent – mid 60’s. When summer gets here, we don’t go below 80 at night for about 3 months. For right now, I leave the windows all open until the outside temp hits 80 then close up. With the new attic insulation & radiant barrier, the inside temp stays upper 70’s until it gets over 90 outside.
