It must have been one fast cat then because the squirrels here can out run my cat all the time, and she’s pretty fast too.

One of my cats once brought in a chipmunk. Took me 3 hours to catch that little critter and get it back outside. Cat was upset with me.

When I was a teenager our cat used to feed her kittens with squirrels. We saw it three times, so who knows how many she caught. Of course it might have been the “new” squirrels she got, but still. Are american squirrels different (faster) than europeans perhaps?

A squirrel got into our house once. With three cats at the time, I was expecting major chaos and mayhem… but the cats just sat back and watched while I opened the front door and back window, and I was soon able to guide the squirrel back outside.

I watched a cat sneak up on a squirrel once. I didn’t believe that he would really catch it so I didn’t try to warn the squirrel. Then he ran off with it dangling from his mouth. Surprise!
