Buckwheat and Porky were wondering what the number for 911 was so they can the get fire department to extinguish their clubhouse. I’m sure Alice and her friends here won’t know either.

The Grand Canyon? I think not. But, “no, ’tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church-door, but ’tis enough, ’twill serve.” ’Tis sufficient.

You really need the Trieste if you’re going to explore the Challenger Deep. (Make it so.)

This one is hilarious! I was pushing one of my grandkids on a swing yesterday, and those trenches are pretty deep!

They were often deep and full of mud. If you got on the swing, the best way to get off was to swing and fly off.

Under-swing trenches are becoming a thing of the past, though! Most new playgrounds are made on rubberized surfaces, or if they are on dirt then things like this are put under swings for safety and ADA compliance:

I hated the trench, you couldn’t start off as well.
