Two hours is still way too long to sit and watch baseball, when you consider that the average player is lucky to hit the ball once during that entire time. At least if you watch golf (not that it’s really exciting or anything), you know for certain that each player is going to hit the ball at least a couple hundred times in each game. And you get a lot better scenery, too.
Anyone around my age may remember Bob Gibson, pitcher for the Cardinals. If you were an opposing batter, or even a fielder behind him, you had better be ready, awake, and alert at all times, because once he got the ball back in his glove, he was ready to pitch again. Games went by pretty fast when he was on the mound. Not enough pitchers like him anymore. Now, with instant replay, it slows down the game even more. But on the plus side, there will be fewer incorrect calls.
how about a super closeup of the pitcher’s face while he is splitting and about to go into his windup…now a close up of the batter while he spitting and about to swing the batand then a close up of the on-deck hitter while he is spitting and contemplating his batting attemptand don’t forget a close up of the catcher while he is spittingand delivering the sign for the next pitch
I think that a better way to speed up the game is to have a limit on the number of foul balls a batter can hit & if this limit is reached, it is considered the third strike & the batter is out.

I played in a league once that had a one swing or two called strike rule.

BobBlumenfeld: The cmeras cover more than one player. Three or foursome times 70 is over a couple hundred.
