Noise: THWACK! Golfer in blue: Whoa! Dude...you knocked that one into orbit! Golfer in orange: Heh-heh. Lucy: Um...you really want to go with that for your science report? Danae: Hey, since no one really knows about the origin of the moon, I say that makes my theory just as valid as any other.

Danae’s teacher is going to send her to the principals office for this too! Somehow I think the moon was there before the pyramids OR golf! And by the way First poster:)

It’s as good as any other >theory< till proved or disproved.

“My theory, which I have, and which is mine….

This must be why the dark side of the moon has the word Titleist.
Ida No almost 11 years ago
That explains the holes all over the moon’s surface – dimples for controlling air resistance. That’s why the moon doesn’t slow down and fall back on top of us. Bill O’Reilly would approve.

Wow. What a swinging club! ……For Danae, this is just par for the course…….BTW, remember when an astronaut actually did that on the moon?…….Remember when we had a space program? Boy, those were the days…..

If they were that large it would go further than just orbit.

Notice the tentacles? Theory and reality are 2 different things what u perceive is not what exist

Except the moon was around before the pyramids existed.

When you prove a theory, does it cease being a theory and become fact?I.E. gravity, speed of light etc.

Ok, seriously, folks? You’re going to try introducing things like logic and physics here? Which part of “Danae’s Theory” don’t you understand?! :-)
FlatheadFord almost 11 years ago
Thank you Wiley, sometimes a comic is just a comic. Why do people have to read a social redeeming value into everything?
dabugger almost 11 years ago
Danae, maybe if, but I suggest you listen to your consultant. He might think you were horsing around.

Nice imagination works for me

Thank you dukedoug. Scientific theory is not mere opinion, it’s an explanation for something that has withstood testing and been confirmed and refined (modified as necessary if evidence did not conform to predictions).
Jml58 almost 11 years ago
This theory not only explaines the moon, it also explaines the pyramids.

Mars size planet named Thera hit the young Earth, Massive amounts of debris from Earth’s crust were knocked loose. Debris first formed a ring and eventually formed moon. Moon stabilized and slowed Earth’s rotation to help make it compatible for life.

If she gets an F she can argue “religion”…I mean scientology also believes aliens were involved in stuff

According to Bill O’Reilly, no theory explains the tides: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HABNe7_D22k.Go to about 1:45 or so in the clip, leading in to the point where he says, “Tide comes in, tide goes out….. you can’t explain that.”.Yep, anything anybody doesn’t understand (even if other people do), is easily explained by the presence of that invisible guy in the sky pulling the strings on his creation.

This one made me smile—probably since I’m a lifelong golfer.

thank you to everyone for your help – either i’m doing something wrong – most likely – or my computer isn’t doing something right – hardly likely
