hey, one detention isn’t gonna make that much of a difference in his life.

mrs. godfrey is a probably one of those stupid teachers who think LA is the capital of California, and sleeping on your belly causes stomach cancer.

I think that I will not contuine reading big Nate, to much bulling for me and my granddaughter, the kids, the teacher, the princlple, and now the the detention person

I wonder who considers that Nate brings all this on himself….Still funny, though, since it’s in a comic and not real life :-)

racerxyz hit the nail on the head. “Nate brings all this on himself….”. Mrs. Godfrey is the badguy and there’s no bullying going on here either. If Nate wasn’t such an egotistical, self satisfied, self centered jerk none of this would befall him. But then, we wouldn’t have much of comic strip if he were any different.

Poor Nate, he’s a perfect example of real-life children who end up on meds they don’t need instead of having the real problems fixed.

well, mrs. godfrey will probably withhold emergency asthma inhalers from asthmatics and let the kids die from asthma attack.
