verne: Check it out. I made chocolate mousse. hammy: Gasp! how did he get in the blender? RJ: are those antler bits? verne: This is known in the trade as "Sacrificing character for a gag"....
Does anybody remember when the Swedish Chef made “der shocolate mousse” on “The Muppet Show”? All he did was ladle chocolate syrup on the episode’s running gag character, Mickey Moose. It was hilarious (and looked messy).
Out to eat at a fancy restaurant with our parents, when we were kids, my brother was choosing dessert from the menu. He asked the waiter how big the moose was and got the reply, “A little bigger than a cow”

No, Verne, that’s what’s known in the trade as, “You bring these things on yourself,” or “You asked for it.”
