My wife has the same complaint. I have been going to the same barber for almost 40 years. She canât find a haircutter she likes, expensive or not. I asked my guy about it, and he said that he could have been rich but most likely would have spent it all on tranquilizers.Re: the sign. Iâm surprised Joy doesnât ask Patty if she has any other diseases. Probably has. Although Pattyâs dates âJust say noâ when they meet her folks, then run screaming into the night.
Wow, if I asked my daughter if she had a mouth disease, she would still be mad at me. The nerve.Yeah Patty, you want to look like your father. What I canât understand is why Patty keeps coming over, and introducing topics sure to produce a really stupid response.Do you suppose she gets a kick out of seeing how dumb her parents are? "Cause they are, you know!
I cut my husbands and the boys hair for years while married (and my sons even after). I also had my color etc. done at the Clairol factory. That was an all day thing once every 3-4 weeks because I took at least 2 buses each way and MIL âwatchedâ the kids.
She watched TV and made them stay indoors so I came home to a house destroyed; a nice person, she was very overweight and did not have energy to watch them outdoors.
For a while after my divorce I found a hairdresser I liked near my work (with a bar next door, so happy hour made sitting in the chair less boring). She eventually opened her own shop where I painted her a mural and dressed her front window, but it was too far to travel. After some disappointments, I took to cutting and coloring my own hair (and now I like the natural color â would just like to get my eyebrows darker).
Plus, down at âFloydâsâ you get watched by a gaggle of the curious and other kinds of loafers, getting your buzz-cut behind the big glass window fronting Mayberryâs Main StreetâŠ..I mean CrustwoodâsâŠ..uhhhh, maybe it IS down in Mayberry!!
Hah! I havenât had a haircut since probably 1985. Bet my wifeâs last professional cut was in the â70s. We do trim each others ends once in a while. She usually wears her hair braided or in a bun arrangment. When itâs loose, it hangs down to her thighs. My hair seems to grow only to shoulder length.
I take my 12 (soon to be 13) year old daughter to get her hair relaxed and trimmed (if needed) for $30. Luckily my oldest son knows how to cut his and his brothersâ hair and even cut their dadâs.
