In reference to CB, what else could they do to kill time besides lean on a short brick wall and mutter, ‘woe is me’? Unless they’re dogs, in which they’d just lie on their houses all day and night.

Heck, don’t forget the ever popular grab a bunch of other kids and run aimlessly around trampling the neighbors’ flowers or beating up on other kids. How could any child not enjoy that.

Most children done with school on summer break get outside and go walk or swim.

Go swimming, ride bikes, go window/shopping or to the movies. Get some friends together and play baseball or football. That’s what I did when I was young and had a blast doing it. Even chase girls. Yes, I am showing my age but that was just in the 60’s.
