Don’t know the situation now but at least before EU there was a law in Belgium that said thta beer in a bottle has to have expirationdate but it cannot be later than a year from the bottling. Now in Belgium there a trappist beers that are fermented in the bottle and the fermentation takes years. So the what the monks did was forge the bottling papers.
