I’ve seen the big vegetarians and the lean meat eaters. And why is the ECO club promoting vegetarianism anyway. Being a tree hugger doesn’t stop me from enjoying lots of meat.
I’ll have to remember to go with a bacon-wrapped turkey this year, with sausage stuffing, mashed spuds with bacon bits, ham, buttered yams, giblet gravy and lots of whipped cream on my pumpkin pie. Bacon-wrapped cheese stuffed poppers as an appetizer. Have to make up for the vegans.
Here’s a question for the ardent veggies out there: In the last fifty years or so, name 10 Olympic gold medal winners in serious athletic competitions who are reasonably strict vegetarians.
Show jumping, sailing and similar sit on your duff most of the time while something else does the work won’t count. Sports that require serious muscle use or endurance only.
If you find even 5, I will be astounded.
Vegetarianism is an artificial lifestyle as is trying to be a pure carnivore. Our systems developed to eat a huge range of things, animal and veggie.
