Nik doesn’t look too cheery about the whole thing anyway…………a brooding demeanor, not unlike Marcus……..‘course, this would be easier on Ellen if Gordie had, like actually already asked her, smiling and blushed a bit around the cheeks and all, and maybe downright giddy about it, and, and…….and: hey, she is rather between the devil and the deep blue sea, isn’t she??
