The Supremes have accepted review of a decision on whether lying about an opponent is okay in politics. If they say yes then democracy is well and truly done for.
Have to agree with the ’toon, no end of stupid on either side, but the balance has shifted dramatically to the right since “Reagan the true Messiah” reigned, and his acolytes took control, later poisoning the tea they were passing out, ruffies???
The cartoon is about common core, which is a good idea. I have to say, however, that the lies about it that I’ve seen come entirely from the right. (For the record, it’s not a federal program, it was designed by the state governments, and Obama has nothing whatsoever to do with it. Unfortunately, he once said that he thought that improving education would be a good idea, and that’s enough to turn the GOP against anything these days.)
Wow, my comment disappeared. Too much truth? What I said was, while both sides tell half-truths, the right tells bald faced lies. That’s why morons in this country still think that the President is a Muslim from Kenya.

Common Core was created by teachers for teaching. It shouldn’t be political.
