Transcript:
Rose: I'm in such a rut, mom. Cooking...laundry...grocery shopping...more laundry... How did you do it and not get totally bored?
Mimi: There were times I snuck out for a brisk walk!
Vicki: You had me at "I snuck out"!
I think they need to take a vacation. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them anywhere but at home or in the areas around their house. They need to go to the beach or another country. I assume Jimbo gets some kind of time off for vacation.
You need some external activities. My wife has a sewing club, a Woman Marines club, a Church club. I too have things that give me a break. We are both retired and do more now then when we both worked. But NOW, it is fun stuff. Of course we take time to play cards with friends, go to the ball game, SCUBA dive, walk at the zoo and just spend fun time together. You have to stay busy and break the monotony of work or retirement.
