That’s the strangest motivational speech I’ve ever heard.

Yeah, and you have to go through the same torture to get a husband, too.

She certainly has some precocious children at the daycare.

Given that I am sitting on the waitlist for Duke’s MBA program this is not entirely heartening…

What a pompous thing to say. It’s like saying men are rapists, instead of SOME men are rapists.Not ALL women are interested in landing a “good catch” —they know the good catch will turn in ahumongous disappointment.

I was 41 when this strip was first published. You have to be a woman of my generation to know how much Joanie Caucus was a hero to us.

The quote I’ve most heard is “Women have to work twice as hard and be twice as good as men too succeed. Fortunately, this is not difficult.”

This was 40 years ago! Time sure does fly when you have fun.
