Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Excessive doses or long term use of anabolic steroids can cause cholesterol problems because of increased low-density lipoprotein and decreased high-density lipoprotein, high blood pressure, liver damage, and changes in the structure of the left ventricle of the heart similar to an enlarged heart from heart disease with areas of dead heart-muscle tissue.
I really canât understand why people are so shocked that pro athletes are shooting up. Theyâre the ones putting all the pressure on them to perform inhuman feats of strength and athleticism.
If being drunk and bloated made you a star athlete, Iâd be halfway there. I donât (canât, actually) drink, but give me a few chili cheese dogs. Just be sure not to do anything that might cause a spark or an open flame or Iâll give an all new meaning to the sports phrase, âBeing on fire.â :)
Yes, football players do use steroidsâŠâŠ.. Canât remember the name but one player broke the news about 15 years ago about how it had caused his brain cancer.
Thanks Add, He did a special on TV that was very moving. It saddens me to see the young people using steroids to improve their stats in high school even. Mostly in football.
The best Iâve heard it expressed is that today, baseball players are putting up the big numbers because of the chemicals they put in their bodies, while in the good old days they put up the big numbers in spite of what they put in their bodies.
And I agree Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame - really, there just are not very many baseball players ever who are more famous than Pete!
Belatedly, I add my congratulations to others for your ten years on UCLICK. May this be only the beginning of a much longer run for my favorite cartoon and cartoonist. Congratulations, Wiley Miller.
